Meet our Pastor

Pastor Doug, along with his wife Donna, moved to Provost in October, 2012. Prior to pastoring the New Hope Gospel Church, Doug pastored churches in Neudorf, Sask., Kenaston, Sask., and Nampa, Alberta. Doug's unique ministry skill set is illustrated in that twenty-one out of the thirty-two years he has served as pastor were served bi-vocationally. Pastor Doug was ordained with the AGC in November of 2015.

In Provost Doug hauled fuel for the UFA during seeding and harvest (for the first 3 1/2 years). Donna recently retired from her position as manager of the Provost Public Library.

Doug and Donna have three grown children and four grand children.  Beth (oldest), married to Pete Bellamy, owns Bear Creek Counselling in Grande Prairie, Alberta.  Daniel, married to Elizabeth, works with the RCMP on Vancouver Island.  The youngest son, Thomas (married to Stefani), also moved to Provost and is working in the grain industry.

Doug grew up near Lipton, Sask. (about an hour northeast of Regina) and Donna grew up at Neilburg, Sask. (just over an hour northeast of Provost). Doug and Donna are both graduates of Millar College of the Bible.

Doug enjoys playing hockey in the winter and golfing in the summer. And Both Doug and Donna enjoy riding their motorcycles during the summer months.
